Lab Report Rubric Lab report must be 3-5 pages, 12 point Times New Roman or Calibri font, 1.5 spacing and 1” margins. Work cited is not included in the 3-5-page limit. Title Page (0.25 pts) Title page: An informative report title, course number, date, lab instructor & name Abstract (0.75 pts): A one paragraph synopsis of your entire research paper 6-8 sentences that give brief background information, experimental procedure used, hypotheses, results and importance. Introduction (1.50) The introduction sets up your experiment giving the reader all necessary background information need to understand the experiment as well as its importance. You should also include your hypothesis in your introduction. Examples of things to include (not limited to these things) • Null & alternative hypotheses clearly and correctly stated • Purpose of experiment • Brief summary of known facts Materials & Methods (2 pt/section) (these are two independent sections!)
