Corruption and Financial Crisis “There is no wisdom like frankness.” Benjamin Disraeli The cancer or corruption has affected virtually all societies in the world. Surprisingly, the most affected nations are to be found in some of the most impoverished regions of the world. This includes Africa and Asia. However, perhaps it would be prudent to state that corruption is also present in developed countries that are within the European Union, United States and Canada. I wish I would state that corruption has declined significantly the world over due to the stringent measures that have been put in place by different nations the world over. This is because there has been heightened activities aimed at addressing corruption from the several corruption watchdogs in Africa, the strict death penalty for corruption in China as well as the institutional checks and balances present in advanced economies.
