Lab #4: Fan Carts PI: Devin Hlavenka DA: Haley Johnson Researcher: Lucy Queen Introduction : Haley Johnson (DA) The purpose of this experiment was to see how the angle of the fan impacts the acceleration of the cart. A summary of our findings are that the angle greatly impacts the acceleration of the cart negatively and can be predicted fairly easy with an equation. Procedure : Lucy Queen (R) When conducting the experiment, we changed the angle of the fan by 45 degrees each time and recorded two sets of data for each angle. By repeatedly assessing the angles it allowed for us to make sure that we were getting similar results, along with getting a better look at how the fan effected the acceleration of the car. Analysis : Haley Johnson (DA) Our findings can be summarized in the graph below. Like we stated above, the acceleration of the fan went down as the degrees of the fan increased. -0.2 -0.15 -0.1 -0.05 0 0.05 0.1 0.15

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
