INTERGRATION ABSTRACT Throughout this course, we have questioned one single idea; Can Psychology and Christianity coexist and work together as a cohesive unit. By examining the relationship between Christianity and Psychology, we become better Christians and better Psychologists. We are more equipped to relate to those around us and fully embrace the whole body healing approach to treating our clients or population we serve. By understanding the fall of Man we have a better background to address the true nature of sin and how this sin has turned into the Mental and Physical Illnesses that we see today in the modern world and modern psychology. By combining the systems of thought we become more open minded to the idea of becoming allies. By becoming allies we become better able to treat those around us. We mist remember at all times that we are children of god and deserve the ability to be healed both mind and body through a Christian based Psychological approach. With the completion of integrated research between Psychological Science and Christian Faith, we find sufficient evidence within the various disciplines of study to support that the allies model best encompasses the modern day relationship between combining science and faith. Through Integration we become Allies and also become better Christians, better psychologists, and better Humans. 2

Christianity: the Christian religion, including the Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox churches; Christian beliefs or practices; Christian quality or character: Christianity mixed with pagan elements; the Christianity of Augustine's though; a particular Christian religious system (Dictionary.com). We find that Christianity is a religion, or basic fundamental principle in which a body of believers studies the word of God. By taking the time to examine the relationship between Christianity and Psychology, we become well-rounded Christians and extraordinary psychologists. We are better able to relate to those around us and fully embrace the whole body healing approach to treating our clients or population we serve. By understanding the fall of Man we have a better background to address the true nature of

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
