Counselors who conduct research become interested in a topic and a specific question; they set about gathering the data needed to answer the question, analyze the data, and report the results to others in the profession (Sheperis, Young, and Daniels, 2017). The research problem that I am considering is the affect that social media and cyber bullying have on individuals in the school system. Cyberbullying is an emerging form of bullying that takes place through contemporary information and communication technologies (Barkoukis, Lazuras, Ourda, and Tsorbatzoudis, 2016). The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
