Date: 10/4/11 Classroom: B In my visit to the Truman college lab school I observed so many different things in the classroom. As I entered into the classroom, I see that the classroom can be supervised from all the directions. All the furniture in the classroom are child-sized. There is also a separate bathroom in the classroom and a diaper changer in the bathroom. In the discovery center of the classroom, there is a table holding 4 buckets of white water for children’s exploration and investigation for their project. They also have a measuring spoons and cups. In the other baskets, they have animals like dinosaurs and binoculars. I also saw some green gel type material in a clear horizontal glass container. In the dramatic play center, there is a sink with cabins at the bottom where they keep measuring cups, bowls, serving spoons; forks, spoons, and knife to eat. They also have an oven with stoves and inside the oven, they have aluminum pots, pans, bowls, and stiffer. A clock hanging on the pretended wall and in the closet, they have different types of clothes like dresses, hats, scarf, bags, baby dolls and its dresses. There is a cash register counter with a telephone and pictures of baby bottles and baby dolls; and a refrigerator having fruits, vegetables and ice tray inside. In the middle of the center, there is a dining table with a table cloth and 4 chairs. In the unit block center, there are so many different sizes of wood blocks on the carpet floor. They also have different kinds of blocks, puzzles, road signs, animals, and train on the shelf. In the other shelf, they have different types of wood shapes and baskets of toys and colorful shapes.

Computer center is located near the writing center and have 2 sets of assembled computers with a printer on the child sized tables for them to use and chairs to sit for the children. In the writing center, they have a sign in sheet on top of the table shelf. In the shelf, they have binders tagged with children’s names and pictures to keep their work. They also have oil pastels, small chalkboard with chalks, papers, and markers. They also have an access for the computer because it is basically connected to the computer area. Library center is located near the writing center where I saw 2 big book shelves with a large selection of books and a sign out sheet for the children. There is also 1 couch and 2 chairs for them to sit, soft toys in the basket and a rug on the floor.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
