Running head: GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AT DANONE 1 Global Knowledge Management at Danone Student’s Name: Institution Affiliation: Global Knowledge Management at Danone Case Synopsis The company was aiming at improving knowledge sharing through what is known as networking attitude. The company has other branches in different geographical regions and the only way they could share knowledge was through networking attitude. The company has employees in almost 120 countries and there was a need to increases knowledge sharing across country business units (Edmondson, Dittrich, & Beyersdorfer, 2011). Benedikt was hired in April 2003 as organizational development director and was in charge of networking attitude. There were a number of tools which had been developed to help employees connect from various regions such as marketplaces, sharing networks and knowledge sharing. The company advocated for horizontal sharing of information rather than hierarchical lines of communication (Edmondson et al., 2011).
