DECISION MAKING PROJECT ASSIGNEMENT2Remaining in continuous contact with the patient is one of the greatest challenges we as adental office face in the modern dental environment. Patients are mobile and have access to information at their fingertips. It is normal that patients switch from one dental office to another one all the time. It is rare today for a dental practice to see the same patient for more than twenty years like it was in the past. Staying connected to our patient base and attracting the new one is a full-time job. Fewer new patients presenting to our dental practice, and there are many patients who used to be regular dental patients, who no longer visit our dental practice. These are patientsthat did not visit our dental office within eighteen months. They were opted out of the system. Lifetime dental patients and new patients are the keys to success for any practice. After all, returning patients mean more meaningful relationships, more security, more return on investment. But winning the new patient and transforming them into devoted lifetime patient who trusts and values our services, is necessary for the dental office success.Problem Statement Currently our practice is losing their long-term patients every month, and gaining new patients very slowly, but the potential to retain current patients and receive a new patient is muchhigher. A successful dental practice is built off patients, therefor increasing new patients and retaining the old one is a key.Evaluation Consideration & Evaluation measuresIdentify stakeholders – Doctor, Dental hygienist, Dental assistant, Front desk stuff and collaborating with them to make improvements or changes Patient satisfaction and feedback – what works for patient and what doesn’tScheduling problems - accommodation of patientPatient information – collection of all information at one timeCustomer service -finding ways to go above and beyond to enhance the customer experienceAlternativesExpanding hours - It may be difficult for patients to come into the practice during normal working hours.
