MECH5000-Mechanical Capstone Analysis Assignment #1-Brainstorming project ideas Development of brainstorming skills is an important part of working on team projects to ensure productive ideas are all considered for all types of projects including development or failure analysis. One of the techniques utilized is “Silent Brainstorming”, as the name implies, a given amount of time is allotted for all individual participants to make unfiltered contributions toward the completion of a project. During the assigned class period, you are to write down a minimum of 4 ideas or proposals for the brainstorming topic in your engineering note book. For each idea, you should include: Topic or suggestion Issues if any Relative difficulty Follow on efforts in the exercise: 1. Usually after the allotted time is spent, the topics from each participant are read aloud with NO Discussion! 2. The ideas are then put into like groups by the participants without judgment of validity and again NO Discussion other than which group.
