In video number 1, The guy discusses that the generic idea of the atom is completely incorrect. He goes on to state that Democritus first believed the idea of matter was made up of small invisible particles. Aristotle claimed this idea to be completely stupid of the fact. This general disagreement continued for the next 2 thousand years until the beginning of the 20th century when Thompson discovered the electron in 1894 and there began the first concept of what the atom appears to be. This was updated in 1911 by Rutherford when the nucleus was added in and when the proton was discovered in 1914 and the discovery of the nucleus in 1932.
