Surname 1 Student’s Name Professor’s Name Course Date Religion Studies All the three reading of William Porter, Stephen Prothero, and the Catholic Church all talks about their takes on religion as well as their approaches. In one way or the other, they seem to be similar to their takes on religion but have different approaches on religion. The paper intends to come up with a discussion which would clarify the differences and similarities in religion based on the takes and approaches of William Porter, Stephen Prothero, and the Catholic Church. There is at least one common thing that the three provided readings have. The books indicate that there is some difference that religions have. For example, Stephen Prothero in his book, explains that by the imagination that they are the same. It can be said that religions are like different paths ascending the same mountain (Prothero, pg.1). Mostly, many individuals have thought that no matter how different religion may seem to be on the outside, they share very many things in common making them be the same, they all meet on the same point in terms of reasoning and takes.
