He bring s out creates an imagery of prisoners chained up together in a cave for all their life. The pr isoners They have never seen light out of the cave , and they have ever lead a life of being forced to face the wall continuously without looking at the entrance ( Peterson 276). Sometimes, objects, people , and birds could cast a shadow on from the entrance as they pass to bloc k them from seeing outside the cave . Mistakenly, the prisoners take the shadow cast on the wall as the truth. From Plato's perspective, the world of forms is represented by the world outside the cave. The shadows on the wall that were seen by the prisoners while in the cave represent s the physical world.
