Study QuestionsChapter 15:1. In a retailing market the structure is more concentrated at a local level than it would be in the food service business. Most individuals will go to buy their food somewhere super close to their house. In my town, we have many vigorous competitions among retailers. We have multiple grocery stores like Walmart, HEB, Kroger, Randell’s, etc. in my town that most individuals shop atto buy groceries. Since there are many options to shop or buy food at it makes the market very competitive for the stores. The food service firms in my town is also a competitive market. Considering you can drive 5 minutes from my home and be at Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Subway, etc. it makes it hard for one food store to be the main place to eat at. 3.
