Creation Account From Genesis – Chapter 1 The main point of Genesis presents the events of the creation of the universe and how mankind came to be. The Universe was created in 6 days and on the 7 th day, God rested. Human beings were created to be dominant over all other species. “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27, NIV)
