Alfred Adler founded the Society of Individual Psychology in 1912 (GoodTherapy.org, 2018). Theories help counselors figure out how to help their clients by explaining and predicting a client’s behavior. Adler believes by the age of 5 or 6 our plan for life is developed into our own individual lifestyle in which helps guide us through life along withindividual perceptions about how life is seen (Murdock, 2013).Question 1In this case study a 24-year-old female is the client. Her name is Ana, whom is a first generation immigrant from Guatemala that is married to her husband who is in the military and currently serving overseas. They have a 1 year old in which Ana is raising by herself. Ana struggles with raising her son on her own and has some major stressors such as lack of support, depression and anxiety. Adler explains that the only true way to understand an individual is through understanding of their lifestyle. Social Interest and the measure of the individual is an important contribution to Individual Psychology Theory. The concepts of the Individual
