SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPYGoals and InterventionsThe goal of Solution-Focused Therapy (SFBT) is to focus on constructing solutions, encourage patients to challenge distorted cognitions, and change destructive patterns of behavior.The overall goal in SFBT is to encourage those in treatment to develop a vision of the future and offers support as they determine the skills, resources, and abilities needed to achieve that vision successfully. (Therapy & (SFBT), 2018) It is also the professionals goal to advocate for the clientas needed. In order to determine other goals, this would need to be discussed with Ana in what her own goals are and what she would like to work on. After reading the analysis, some present goals that stand out would be helping Ana to learn to manage caring for a child on her own, creating a working routine for her life, budgeting, gaining positive supports, and helping her to find employment. Ana appears to be in a frazzled state and is very overwhelmed with stress, so finding coping skills for her stress and positive outlets are imperative as well.
