Subject Learning Objectives(s) (Behavior, Condition, Criteria) Instructional Plan: Strategies and Learning Tasks Description of Formative and Summative Assessment 6.c. Students create digital artifacts to communicate ideas visually and graphically. D2.Geo.1.3-5. Construct maps and other graphic representations of both familiar and unfamiliar places. Social Studies with Educationa l Technology linked Students will create a Google Slide Presentation on one of the 3 Planets, including pictures and facts, needing to score at least 20 out of 25 on the Presentration Rubric. For this Lesson students will work in Groups of 3, each Student will make one Slide (they will pick one Planet each) for the Presentation. We are going to review how to insert pictures on Google Slides as a whole group with the Teacher modeling it and from there students will open a Google Slide form and follow along so we can practice inserting pictures. Each Student will have a Group assigned on Google Slides that is shared with the Teacher so Formative assessment: Students work will be observed while working on the Slides and Teacher can intercept to redirect as needed. Summative assessment: Using the Presentation rubric, students need to score at least 20 out 0f 25 on their Slideshow by including facts, images and details from their Planet (Venus, Mercury or Mars) Book. This covers Educational Technology Standard of 6.c as well as Social Studies Standard D2.Geo.1.3-5 PAGE 1
the Teacher can see what each Student is working on. (Teacher has previously set up the Groups). Once Students are done, we are going to share our findings in Presentations all group members share their page while the Slide is being presented on the Smartboard.
