If a woman were to start their period at a young age (especially before 12 years old) or go through menopause after the age of 55, then their risk of breast cancer increases slightly. The increased risk is due to the longer exposure to hormones, estrogen and progesterone that comes along with menstruation. 2. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
