Kentzel 1 Willow Kentzel Professor Greaver English 102 12 November 2017 Global Warming is Real For the past several decades we have been neglecting our planet and causing it to lash back. Too many years of burning fossil fuels, deforestation and apathy towards our Earth has caused the planet’s temperature to rise. Many seem as though this increase in temperature is a great thing, however, its impact is greatly having its effect on the planet. The increase in temperature is causing mayhem around the world and if action is not taken promptly the world as we know it may cease to exist faster than we think. This increase in temperature is due to the greenhouse gases. Theses greenhouse gases are gases that trap heat in our atmosphere. The most abundant greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide which makes nearly 82% of all greenhouse gasses(Root,58). Most of the carbon dioxide emitted is through our use of electricity. Most of our electricity comes from the process of burning an abundant amount of fossil fuels. Each year are emissions of these gases are only increasing and not improving. Since the emissions are trapped in the atmosphere and are concentrated, the only thing we are accomplishing is building a thicker cloud of these greenhouse gasses. This increase in our climate is due to what we thought was innovation. All of our great inventions from cars to paper have been created without a single thought of what we are doing to the planet. We believed we were making our lives easier however the truth of the matter of fact is we were actually slowly killing ourselves. Despite all of

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
