Liam McCarthy Prof. Von Hw story Origami Story I found the origami work we did very fun, although at first it was confusing. At first I was confused about the “one cut” to have all the white come off the paper so that all was left was the shape itself. However, once I was introduced into drawing the angle bisectors it became much easier for me to understand and follow. Drawing the angle bisector means I would cut the angle of the triangle in half so that if you folded along that angle bisector, the boarders of the triangle would run on top of each other. I did that for all three angles and then all the boarders. For the equilateral shaped triangle, it was easy once I drew in the angle bisectors to find the folds that were needed in order to cut the triangle out of the piece of paper in one cut. The solid lines represent the angle bisectors, and the dotted line represents the continuation of the angle bisector that would cut the whole triangle into two halves.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
