Kathryn Green Chapter 11 Ethic Issues: Issue 1: 1. I believe that the clinic should only consider if the woman is healthy enough to carry the baby to term for the mother’s sake and the child’s. The clinic should also consider if they are able to grant the woman her donor eggs and sperm. The clinic should even go one step further and see if the woman’s eggs are, in fact, “too old”. The woman is prepared more so then most moms, and even if she wasn’t the woman has a right to have a child. It is not the clinics place to deny her, it is their place to help her the best they can. 2. There are risks to both the mother and the baby due to the mother’s age. The mother risks diabetes, high blood pressure, placenta previa, a higher potential for the need for a C section, and the risk of high fever and heavy bleeding after birth. The newborn has a higher risk of needing to stay in intensive care due to low blood sugar or being born immature. The baby has a higher risk of genetic mutations.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
