Jocelyn Taylor Greene Professor Bob ISCI 2002 22 nd January 2019 Activity Report #2 In the second week of our Physical Science for Teachers class we performed tow different activities. We done the activities Velocity and Speed and the Acceleration Activity. The activity that I will be writing my report on for the second week is the Velocity and Speed activity. The purpose of the class performing this experiment was to understand whether or not velocity and speed are the same. The objective of doing this activity was to obtain a better understanding of the concept of speed and how it is both the same and different from velocity. We were also supposed to obtain data from a rolling ball and calculate the rate of speed of the object moving along the set course we were going to put it in. The materials we used were as follows: Two meter sticks Tape Golf ball Stop watch Metal ramp An important concept to know about velocity and speed before talking about the procedure of the experiment, is to know what they mean and a few other terms that correlate with them. ### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
