The first principle states that the company should create a new product which FiredUp has done by creating a stove that individuals are able to bring camping and not having to worry about the fire dying because of the strong winds. Enhancing the typical camping stove into a lightweight, small design that can withhold strong winds gives the company a competitive advantage by differentiating this product with others. Next, the company locks in customers because they only sell this product via Internet, fax, or postal orders. This means that the customer is investing trust into this company because they are giving them their personal information. FiredUp raises barriers because they make it difficult to gain competition because they are not selling their lightweight stove to big name brand suppliers, yet they are keeping their business at a personal level where it is hard to copy someone...
