I have a lot of expectations about my career and life. Additional academic qualification has become a requirement to fulfill my dreams. I understood from my course details that I should sharpen my skills as a writer to be successful in this course. I did not focus on my writing skills earlier in my academic career. I am confident and feel optimistic about going ahead and completing the course as expected. Inventory: The inventory exercise enabled me to evaluate my learning and writing styles. From the exercise, I understand that my learning style has been visual based. I always prefer to go through small column articles and graphical representations rather than reading lengthy contents.I came to understand that I am an independent learner as I completed the 35 questions of the inventory exercise. I also understand that I must improve my skills in English in order to use my vocabulary more confidently in my writings. From the inventory exercise, I realized that I must practice various writing styles. ENTRY 2: Correctness in WritingThe most important aspect of a written material is that it should be understood in the rightsense as the writer intended. For this reason, correctness in writing is a very significant factor forboth the writer and the reader. Readers can follow the writer only if proper grammar and punctuations are followed. If grammar and punctuation rules are not applied correctly, there are chances of miscommunication between the writer and the reader. A writer can convert his ideas into a readable content only with correct use of his language. If the writer is not efficient in usingproper grammar and punctuations, he cannot reach to his targeted readers. It is very important forthe writer to proofread the content before publishing it. If a written material is not proofread, the readers will find it worthless to read. Strengths and WeaknessesWhenever I want to write something, I just start it even without planning the ideas.Usually, I try to finish things very fast and when it applies to writing, there are chances ofmistakes. These are factors that I consider as weaknesses as a writer. I should always sparesometime for brainstorming and organizing the ideas. However, I don’t waste much time inplanning my writing. I consider this as a strength as I have seen many others who spend a lot oftime without writing anything. I can revise the initial draft even if I write the first draft in a hurry.Though I do not spend much time before writing, I am willing to spend time to make it perfectafter writing it. These are my strengths as a writer.
