I believe human nature was supposed to be simple, easy and because we are made like God, not a God, but in similar ways as he is we are supposed to reflect who he is. Loving him and each other, obeying him, knowing right from wrong, making right choices, knowing how to and understanding how to communicate with God, and most of all following his words and doinghis work here on earth. Due to Adam and Eve disobedient towards God, human nature is not that simple. We are far from perfect, some selfish, and unlike God being unchangeable, humans are changeable. The root cause of humanity’s problems stems from Adam and Eve disobeying God’sonly commandment which was to not eat of the tree of knowledge of life knowing good and evil.(Genesis 3:6) When they disobeyed God their eyes became open, they were now separated from God, and separated the rest of humanity from God as well. Humanity’s purpose is to be fruitful, love one another, fear God and follow his commandments and his words of life. Ecclesiastes 12:13 states “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” (ECC 12:13) Humanity should do the work of God and enjoy doing the good God intended for us. In Ecclesiastes 2:24 it states “There is nothing better for people than to eat and drink, and to find enjoyment in their work. I also perceived that this ability to find enjoyment comes from God.” (ECC 2:24) Jesus is the son of God, being identified as one hundred percent man and one hundred percent God. He is the way of life, and the only way to get to God. You must go through Jesus to get to God. Jesus said, “I am the truth, the way, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6) Jesus is humanity’s savior. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”(Luke 19:10) He is the only true example of what humanity should be, the way weshould act toward one another, and the love we should display to one another. He displays characteristics of who God truly is and giving us the understanding of how to obtain everlasting 2
life. Jesus came to save all of humanity and forgive them of their sins. He came to sacrifice his life for the life of humanity, to bring humanity’s relationship back together with God. Jesus cameto earth and did not consider himself equal with God. Rather he made himself less of what he truly is by becoming a servant and taking on human likeness by becoming a man. He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death even while he was on the cross. (Philippians 2:5-8) Jesus'identity and work significant for the Christian worldview so that he can be the example of what Christin’s need to be so that we will do the works of God and obtain everlasting life. The solution to humanity’s problem is Jesus. Jesus was sent by God to restore humanity’srelationship back together with God. In John 7:28 Jesus was teaching, and he stated “Youboth knowmeandknowwhereIcomefrom!AndI havenotcomeonmy own initiative, butthe one whosent
