Response 1 Hi Ann, Nurse Managers are seen as the first-line leaders, and they have the responsibility to promote change in the clinical setting. Managing change is all about handling the complexity of the process. According to Al-Abri (2007), with change, some may want to support it, be indifferent to it, be passive or participate (p.9). The process involves, also stated by Al-Abri (2007), “evaluating, planning and implementing operations, tactics, and strategies and making sure that the change is worthwhile and relevant” (p.9). Because change can be continuous, random, occasional, or rare, nurse managers must learn to overcome obstacles and cope with the chaos that naturally exits during the complex process of change. Roussel (2013) stated that managing in a time of chaos requires a new way of thinking (p.4). How do you think nurse managers can stay on the edge of chaos when change arise? References Al-Abri R. (2007). Managing change in healthcare. Oman medical journal , 22 (3), 9-10.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
