Coming to an Awareness of Language by Malcolm X I feel that these two sentences from Malcolm X were designed to be less informational and more inspirational. They make me understand that Malcolm X is one of the persons that never gives up and will do anything he can to get what he wants. We all give up so easily when we can’t figure something out or if something is beyond our breach of understanding. Malcolm X decided that it would not be sufficient to write in slang because he became so frustrated at not being able to express what he wanted to convey in letters. He spent days just learning and copying the dictionary because he was so determined in wanting to improve his vocabulary. However, he improved a lot more than just his vocabulary. He transformed into a better communicator and could finally convey his thoughts better to people in the letters that he wrote. I was able to connect his experience with my experiences.
