A. Discuss the need for change for the company in the scenario using either the systems contingency model or the organizational life cycle model. ABC Manufacturing has been in growth mode for 10 years and has grown from $1 million in sales to a global company with over $100 million in sales. However, there is a need to shift towards a learning organization and the best way to through the organizational life cycle model. Currently ABC Manufacturing is in stage 5 of the organizational life cycle. There is a need for more collaboration and innovation. If a shift is not made, then sales can dip, and the company could become noncompetitive in the market.
