If we do we will have more trade routes, spread more culture, and gain more natural resources. The U.S. continue to expand, to gain new trade that would help the economy. Based on the information gathered, “The Japan opened two ports to American trade.” The U.S. traveled to Japan to open trade with Japan. They discussed about it and Japan agreed to open two ports with the U.S. Based on the evidence, “The Navy could quickly move ships back and forth between the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean.” In the event of a war the Navy could quickly move from and to places. We spread our culture when the U.S. expands. Based on the information gathered, “In effect, the amendment made Cuba an American protectorate.” The amendment meant a nation whose
