Eric Brown Mrs.Clinebell 2nd Hour Science Digital vs Analog Television How has TV’s changed over the years? There has been a big change in the technology, but is it for the better good. Is analog or digital transmission the better option? The technology that I’m researching is television transmission. This technology has brought family together for entertainment, and usually in this day in age you’ll see that almost everybody has a TV. ( Miller, 2009) Digital transmission is when you convert programming into a stream of binary on/off bits. The binary bits reproduce an exact copy of the picture. As long as the signal is received the picture will still be perfect. ( Miller, 2009) Analog transmission transmits programming into a continuous signal. It is transmitted on a particular radio frequency. Television stations then transmit the picture antenna to antenna. The frequencies are measured in megahertz. ( Miller, 2009) When It comes to reliability if analog has a weak signal it means poor picture and also it doesn’t have sharp sound. Digital has a binary signal
