We wish you much success in your studies! 2 OVERVIEW OF ICT1521 2.1 Purpose The purpose of this module is to familiarize students with the Structured-Query-Language(SQL) and databases. SQL is a database programming language used at home, in small business and large organizations. This course uses Oracle Database 11g Express Edition as a vehicle for teaching SQL and students will learn essential introductory concepts. 2.2 Outcomes Upon successfully studying all the theory and completing all the practical exercises and Hands-on-Projects in this course you will: be provided with the knowledge, skills and values needed to design, develop and implement simple database applications; be able to evaluate and produce input into the creation of a database application;
