Scholarship Edited Essays Statement #1: What is your major? What profession will you pursue? What is your single most important academic and/ or career goal? How will you achieve this goal? I am currently working towards my Associate degree in Nursing, and planning to transfer to the university for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. My educational ambitions and required degree completion will set me up for my future preparation in becoming an Emergency Nurse. My career goal is to be able to provide good care, plan long-term care needs, advise my patients and their families on certain illnesses, and monitor their health condition. Most importantly, I would love to save many lives. I have always been interested in attaining a career as an Emergency Nurse since I was in elementary age. When I was six years old, I had an emergency situation where I got to experience quick, attentive, medical care. Thus, I have a strong interest in assisting people who are injured and in physical pain. A job in this field is an opportunity for me to be a part of a bigger team whose purpose is to improve the quality of many lives. I get to make an impact and improve health conditions around the world. Once I attain my nursing degree, I will specifically specialize in emergency environments: in the ambulance, helicopters, urgent care centers, and/or sports areas. I will provide care to patients based on the trauma or injury they have sustained. Also, an advantage to being in this field, is the prospect to recognize and treat life-threatening situations with the emergency healthcare team. Furthermore, I look forward to giving back to the community, by providing affordable access for treatment, especially to the people faced with life threatening health conditions. During the course of my profession, I intend to establish healthy projects such as affordable urgent care clinics for people who cannot afford the expenses. Ultimately, I would like to travel around the world publishing and educating people on the purpose of being a nurse; and how it would be a great importance to the health of the community, so that there is enough support and care available all over the world. Similarly, my single most goal in my career is to establish organizations and programs purposely to provide internships and scholarships for all students who are passionate becoming part of nursing team in healthcare, and are ready to make a difference in the lives of many, keeping people healthy and strong. Not to mention, I believe this would strengthen our healthcare system even much better- providing care for those suffering from life threatening trauma and injuries that can easily lead to an end of life. I know that all my career goals will remain simply as dreams if I do not work hard towards finishing my educational degrees. I understand that it takes heart, courage, and intelligence for one to achieve their desired goal. Therefore, with this in mind, I continue to stay focused, persistent, manage my time wisely, motivate myself, and utilize the help and resources around me. I am committed in working hard in my

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
