Wendy Begley CWV-101 February 12, 2019 Rob Krise Benchmark - Gospel Essentials Introduction The Christian worldview is comprised of some fundamental beliefs regarding our faith. We have an unalterable belief in our Triune God; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which comprise the Trinity. Moreover, we believe that Jesus died on the cross to cleanse mankind of its sins. When He died, He took upon Himself all of humanity’s evils so that we could be righteous in the eyes of God and therefore, restore our relationship with Him. Three days later, as was prophesied, He rose from the dead and rejoined God in heaven. The Lord is looking for us, the lost, to bring back to Him by faith and love. One day; He will come back for his children. "At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:30). This essay will delve deeper and analyze further into the subjects of God, Humanity, Jesus, and Restoration. God

God is a Triune God with “three centers of consciousness - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are co-equal and co-eternal as well as distinguishable or distinct from one another. These three distinct Persons are the one God. Everything that is true about God is true about the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. (Stewart. n.d., para.5) God is good. “For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving.” (1 Timothy 4:4, NIV) God is kind. “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior.” (Titus 3:4-6, NIV). God is forgiving. “The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.” (Daniel 9:9, NIV). God created everything in existence. “It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.”
