1RUNNING HEAD: CSR versus CCCorporate Social Responsibility compared to Corporate CitizenshipNicole GignacLiberty Unviersity
2CSR versus CCFor this post, I chose to write my discussion board on the differences between corporate socialresponsibility and corporate citizenship. Before you can contrast the two, it is important to havean understanding of what each term means. To start, corporate social responsibility is aboutholding companies accountable for more than what products they sell. It is defined as,"actions of an organization to take responsibility for the impacts of its activities onsociety and the environment, where these actions: are consistent with the interests ofsociety and sustainable development; are based on ethical behavior, compliance withapplicable law and intergovernmental instruments; and are integrated into the ongoingactivities of an organization” (Corporate Social Responsibility versus CorporateCitizenship, n.d., pp. 2).
