DOES GM’S FUTURE LIE IN CHINA? 2 Does GM’s Future Lie in China? GM is a company interested in building and selling cars, crossovers, trucks, as well as automobile parts. Its vision statement portrays the company’s objectives in the future, while its mission determines the actions to be done in order to reach the corporate vision. And so, the mission statement establishes the approaches that are needed to accelerate the organizational actions and desires in the automotive industry. The non-US sales are the significant aspects of the company’s progress as they hold the future potential of the company, and this goes along with transnationals strategy and international strategy (David, 2011). The additional capital is the most essential non-US sales to GM, and innovation here can be achieved by taking opportunities to tune in to the demands of the customers. Even with the economy of scale in the US, the company still thrives due to the revenue, but the most priority is to stay above the competitors through offering best sales of product and getting appropriate feedback from their customers. GM saw the need to enter the Chinese market as the potential for many benefits. The following were the main reasons: first, GM intended to learn alongside their Chinese partners
