The Plastics Packaging and Recycling Economy The plastic economy is going to be with us for a very long time despite the consistent pressure from the environmentalists. The pressure from the environmental groups and the consumers is meant to force the packaging industry to look for more environmentally friendly alternatives. According to Mintel, an international market research firm it recommends the balancing of the pros and cons of using plastics as a packaging solution. This means that we cannot entirely blame plastics for being bad to the environment. Based on the research the plastic packaging is going to increase or even double in the next 20 years, thus we need to employ a realistic and balanced approach of usage and disposal of plastics. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
