Subjective performance evaluations are subject to several rater errors, which makes objective measures seem a better alternative. Discuss when subjective performance evaluations might be better (or more feasible) than objective ratings. Performance evaluations can be done in so many ways. One important way is to categorize performance evaluations with regard to its extent of subjectivity in evaluation processes. Objective performance is based on quantitative performance measures ( Fehrenbacher, 2018 ). In this paper, I will address several reasons that elaborate why subjective evaluations can be useful despite its numerous challenges. The use of subjectivity in the evaluation of job performance is critical to the allocation of job bonuses, including situations where objective job evaluations would be viable. Subjectivity permits evaluators to incorporate additional information concerning the conditions that normally arise after an official reward plan is set. This information could be analyzed to be
