Introduction My son name is Kalil Smith. He was born one week before his due date. Kalil was strictly breastfed, and appeared to get hungry more often then other newborns. As a young mother, I raised kalil until the age of 18 years old. There were many emotional, social development milestones and physical cognitive that had to be met throughout his stages of growth. After his senior year, he is destined to attend a four year university.
Physical Development According to Feldman, 2014 “Physical development is referred to as the inspecting of the body’s makeup, which consist of the senses, nervous system, muscles, brain, the need for sleep, food, and drink. This also helps determine behavior . 0-4 months: Kalil began to turn his head from side to side while laying on his back, while doing tummy time he would lift it up, and roll over. He also started noticing directions of the sounds he heard. 4-8 months: At 8-months-old Kalil was able to stand with help and sit in seating objects on his own. He was able to do these things by being active during playtime, kicking while laying on his back and rolling. 8-12 months: Kalil was finally able sit without support because his muscles were built up enough, he crawled and travelled around his environment, he would use furniture to walk, because he pulled himself on it and held on for support. 1-3 years: By the age of two Kalil was able to walk without falling or shaking, he also began potty training with assistance. Around this time, Kalil began to generate relationships between events and objects. 3-5 years: At five years old, Kalil was able to jump and run with more synchronization and accurateness.
Physical Development 5-9 years: Kalil developed an interest in basketball and baseball, which at that point we enrolled him in both sports. He has a passion for music and began taking piano lessons. Kalil attention span had significantly improved, and was able to be focus while playing sports and doing other activities. 9-12 years: This when puberty began, and Kalil started growing drastically. He was constantly exercising to perfect his physical skills and appearance. 14-18 years: Kalil is still growing, at a reduced speed. He is now learning how to drive a car. Still doing sports and got a scholarship for basketball.
