Welcome to Unit 1! Posted on: Monday, March 4, 2019 8:00:54 AM EST Welcome to Unit 1. By the end of this course you will be one step closer to completing your degree!! I know for some of you this has been a long journey and for others this is just the beginning of your journey. Whatever your circumstances are I hope that you find your time in this course both enlightening and informative on the proper way of conducting research methodology. Please spend the next day or so reviewing the course in Blackboard to familiarize yourself with how the material is presented. Also, look over the tabs on the course homepage in Blackboard, especially the Course Information tab which I think will provide you with information to help you understand the material as well as the course content better. In Unit 1, we will begin the formal research process by identifying the objectives of research and how research methodology is applied to the managerial decision-making process. We will also cover ethical issues in research methodology which are essential for providing valid and reliable research results. By the end of this unit you should have a better understanding of how a research hypothesis is formulated as well as the ethical considerations that must be observed when working with data. When you are ready, click on the tab for Unit 1 and look over the introductory information and the assignments required for the week. Please introduce yourself to the class as one of your first assignments to complete. In the first week, you will need to respond to two discussion topics and complete a multiple choice written exam. Please be prepared to take the exam by reviewing the chapters that will be covered on the exam as you only have 1 hour to complete it. If you attempt to take the exam without being prepared, you may run out of time and possibly not do as well as you would have liked to.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
