DISCUSSION BOARD FORUM 4 3 Discussion Board Forum 4 Thread: Managing Workplace Diversity Continuous progression in the United States and the global workplace offers an ever- changing workplace population. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that ore than 38 million people will enter the labor force between 2016 and 2026, (Grissom, 2018, p. 242). This ever-changing workplace population introduces diversity at an enhanced level. Businesses and organizations have embraced diversity; due to the struggle of companies creating an inclusive workplace for centuries. Diversity within the workplace is defined as “diversity among employees—thus represents both a challenge and an opportunity for businesses,” (Lawrence, & Weber, 2017, p. 349). The layers of diversity within the workplace allow management of diversity to affect the organization framework, outcomes, and processes. Benefits: Workplace diversity requires extreme initiative from business owners, management, and overall company leadership. “ For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ,” (1 Corinthians 12:12, ESV). Proper management of diversity delivers maximum potential within the workplace. This initiative forces these individuals to develop the appropriate policies and procedures in order to support workplace diversity. However, the initiatives ultimately bear fruit, through the
