METACOGNITIVE READING REPORT NO. 4 Surname: Siega First name: James Course/section: GED105/AT3 Date: 12/10/2018 Readings: 1. Globalization of Culture Through Media 2. Religious Dimensions of Political Conflict and Violence Four (4) things that I significantly learned from the readings: (2 from each reading) From the first reading, I have learned that the international mass media plays a strong role in cultural globalization even though in some debates they are still debating whether or not the international mass media actually has any effect on cultural globalization. I have also learned that the difference between Cultural Imperialism and Globalization is the intent of the country to another. From the second reading, I have learned that big bodies of religion (e.g. Islam) and the debates about it is sometimes the cause of domestic conflict from any influenced country. I have also learned that the structure of religion isn’t really organized because there are lots of interpretations about a religion’s roots of belief (e.g. the bible) and anyone who
