FRE 2710 Spring 2017 Exam I (90 points) I. Essay questions (50 points, 25 points each): Answer TWO questions , choosing ONE question from Group A, and the question from Group B. 12 font, double-spaced, one page minimum, two pages maximum per question. Take care to construct a response with an introduction, development and conclusion, in your own words . Avoid mere copying from any other source, including course Powerpoints. Any citations or direct paraphrases must be scrupulously referenced (with name of author, title, date and location of publication, including the URL if appropriate). How did the Romans influence Gaul once they had conquered the region? What did they import culturally, and what did they build in the cities that they established in Gaul and for what purpose? Name some cities built by the Romans in Roman Gaul and explain the political and/or cultural significance of two of these cities.
