WORLD MYTHOLOGY 2 World Mythology The Creation of the Titans and the Gods When the earth was anew it was called Chaos and out Chaos came the first three immortal beings. The first was Gaea, she was known as Mother Earth. Without a mate she gave birth to Uranus, who was known as Father Sky. She made Him her equal so that he would be at her side and would provide home for the immortals. Gaea also gave birth the Ourea, the mountains, and Pantus, the Sea. The second was Eros, He was the God of Love and sexual attraction. His roman counterpart was Cupid. There are myths that make him a primary god where as in others he is just the son of a Goddess. The third immortal was called Tartarus, He ruled over the Underworld. His home the Underworld was a place of torment and punishment for the evil and the damned. It was a horrid pit and place of death for the dead. The Underworld was a prison for the dead.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
