PRENATAL AND POSTPARTUM 2 Prenatal and Postpartum Walking briskly with full motion lengthens the muscles. Lower back strength grows while moving the pelvis. Walking is good exercise and protects your good health. Walking also improves the position of the baby to make delivery easier. Remember to drink about 2 liters a day or 3 quarts of pure water. Eat 6 protein servings (meat the size of a pack of cards, a handful of almonds, two eggs, a cup of yoghurt). Have some salt in your food (choose iodine supplemented table salt) to distribute the fluids properly. Eat plenty of dark, leafy greens and fresh from the garden when possible. Take the time for yourself to bond with your baby before it is even born. Listening to music is one way to relax with your unborn infant. Babies remember music they hear in the womb.
