Shaniqua Houston Edu- 470 3/8/19 Dr. Trout Field Experience A: Content Knowledge For my observation I went to Grandview Elememtary School and when I was there I got observe in Ms. Airesman 5th grade math classroom. She brokes the students up into groups. The students with exceptionalities are assigned to the computers and I-pads. The students without exceptionalities are starting off with a worksheet. Ms. Airesman tells one of the students to read the learning objective of what they will be learning about today. The learning objective for the day was Lesson 9.7: Students will use models and place value understanding to compare two decimals to hundredths by reasoning about the size and recording using the symbols <,> or =. While the students with exceptionalities did fraction problems on the computer. She is allowing the students to use their own example of how they solved the problem. Each students showed their steps of how they got their answer. They also write in a sentence of why believed that their answer was right. She also shows them how to do the problem by using place value blocks.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
