MA250 Seminar Unit 7 2 Setting Yourself up for Success The clinical requirements for MA250 must be completed by October 23, 2018. When all the clinical requirements are turned in successful you will have a green check on your castle branch site. Medical Assistants do many duties of a nurse, but it is illegal for a MA to be called a nurse. It is also unethical confusing to patients and disrespectful to real Nurses. MA’s work under direct supervision of a doctor, nurse practitioner, or a registered nurse. MA’s are not licensed but can and should be certified. Registered nurses and licensed practical nurses work under their own licenses. Nurses have a broader scope of practice and can perform more procedures. All clinical site paperwork will start in MA280 with Stacy. While at your clinical site you want to show initiative like when you see a stack of patient files ask if you can help put them away. Ask to do things don’t sit around waiting on them to tell you do what you should be doing.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
