Quantitative research is an application of observation techniques and analysis of documents, being the main means of learning about the subject. The researchers of quantitative use the techniques that involve structured questions where responses have been predetermined. Qualitative research is the application of statistical procedures and techniques to data collected through surveys, that can include interviews and questionnaires. The researchers of qualitative analyze through concepts, definitions, metaphors, and descriptions of key terms in their observations. Quantitative research deals with empirical data that’s analyzed, measured, and gathered. It is a powerful form of research. In this type of methodology relationships between variables are quantified or measured. Quantitative can be applied to both experimental and observational research. When researchers focus on the hypothesis testing is how they distinguish the quantitative from the qualitative. When dealing with analyzing and observation trends, along with behaviors and patterns, qualitative methodology is referred as a softer form of research approach. The qualitative research is considered more exploratory in nature, information for qualitative research is collected by using seminars, focus groups, interviews, forums, and focus groups.
