Introduction:In a world with a constantly growing population, there acre certain concerns that must meconsidered as we look towards the future. Issues such as poverty and food security are a growing concern that is inevitable at out current rate of growth. Food security is “defined as the availability of food and one's access to it.” [Dis15]Entire populations are without food, children are unable to have access to clean drinkable water, governments are using chemicals on our foods leading to illness and disease, and individuals are unable to have access to fresh foods due to the inability to reach certain areas and populations in world. However, there are ways that we can prepare for our future. In this paper, we will be discussing the food insecurity and the affects that rising populations have on it, causes of food interruptions to countries and populations that desperately need it, and finally we will discuss what technological solutions can be utilized to improve these issues and reduce world hunger. As mentioned above, food security related to countries abilities to access the foods they need. “The World Food Summit of 1996 defined food security as existing "when all people at all times have access to sufficient, safe, nutritious food to maintain a healthy and active life". [Dis15] The population is expected to continue to grow by billions in the next twenty to thirty years alone. This is alarming because even at our current population rates, we are unable toprovide for and feed our worlds inhabitants. This means something must change. Individuals in remote areas of the world have no way to access food and therefore are amongst the most poverty stricken in the world. With populations growing at an alarming rate, specifically in developing countries who are already malnourished, it is becoming increasingly clear that soon
