Student Name: Huey Vu Case_Study_3_IoT Due Date: 3/25/2018 1 Welcome to the Internet of Things (IoT) a sensor connected world where devices and ‘things’ communicate with each other. This generates a plethora of data, along with myriad business opportunities for automation, monitoring and response. The sensors (often wirelessly connected) detect and respond to certain conditions and commands. How does all of this fit into an IT world? What are the security risks of IoT? As always writings are suggested page MINIMUMS Lets start with an introduction on how major industries can lead with IoT: 1. An introduction to IoT is presented in this Gartner Report: a) Outline in ½ page the 4 key themes for IoT in this report According to Gartner Report 4 key themes for IoT in this report as follows: Leverage the IoT To fulfill achievement development business goal, containing product quality, the acceleration of processes, production expenses, machine security safety, and approach to information for business analytics. Secure the IoT The IoT presents a full spectrum of brand-new security vulnerabilities and a threat to the IoT devices itself, their operating systems, and platforms and their system of information exchange, and yet the structure to whatever they will be an affiliate with. Security technologies will be recommended to defend IoT devices and platforms from both information threat and physical interfere, to encrypt their communications, and to focus on the brand new threat such as impersonating "things" or "denial-of-sleep" attacks that reduce batteries life. IoT security will be difficult by the reality that various "things" use plain processors and operating systems that cannot maintain complicated security concept. Staff the IoT The CIO of everything will need to build a committed IoT team for the company. This team requires must be skillful in designing, mapping, reading, growing and managing the company "IoT internal domains and external products." The efficient taking advantage of IoT will as a result demand data scientists and simulation experts to analyze data and create digital twin models. Such personnel must know not only data science fundamental but also some of the tools that are particular to IoT positions "for example, stream processing platforms and gateway analytics." Exploit the IoT Even though "ecosystems and standards aren't strictly technologies, most finally emerge as application programming interfaces (APIs)." Standards and there related to APIs will be necessary because IoT devices will require to interoperate and interact, and many IoT business designs will bank on distributing data to various devices and companies. Many IoT ecosystems will surface, and business and technical battles between these ecosystems will govern domains example: "the smart home, the smart city, and healthcare." Companies building

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
