POSTER ASSIGNMENT 2 Reflection of one of the principles The principle: partnerships with families and communities strengthen the ability of early childhood settings to meet the needs of young children. This is one of the principles to direct practice in early years settings in Ontario. it declares,” The web of family and community is the child’s anchor for early development. Families are the first and most powerful influence on children’s early learning and development. (ELECT, 2015, p.3).” First of all, it introduces the relationships among families, communities, and early childhood settings so that I get to know the importance to maintain effective relationships. Families belong to communities that support early childhood settings, harmonious relationships are beneficial to children’s development, and early childhood settings that integrated into families’ culture and belief enhance the effectiveness of children’s caring, learning, and development (ELECT, 2014, P.3).
